Daniel Southwick is our Senior Pastor. He has served in ministry for over 15 years in several different pastoral roles and joined SHBC in 2024. He and his wife, Andrea, have four children, one in college and three at home. Daniel is a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoys reading, watching and playing sports, as well as traveling and spending time with his family. He is originally from California but has lived in both Oklahoma and Germany during his time in the military.

Pastor Bob Dillman is our volunteer associate Pastor. He has served in ministry for over 33 years. He retired from Southern Hills Baptist Church in 2023. He is a graduate from Clear Creek Baptist College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a church planter and other church positions before moving to Sioux City Iowa. He served at Southern Hills Baptist Church as the associate pastor from 1999 to 2023. He also was a hospice chaplain from 2020 to 2024. He and his wife Linda have been married for 44 years, have 4 adult children and four grandchildren. He is originally from Ohio where he was a farmer before God called him into the ministry.

Atréju Hood is our Pastor Intern. He has served in ministry for seven years in several pastoral roles, and joined SHBC in October 2025. He and his wife, Veronica, have three children: Jaron, their oldest, who has Down syndrome and loves to make people laugh; Ezra, who loves serving others; and Aubrie, who loves to sing.

Atréju is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for eight years. Originally from Washington State, he now loves calling the Midwest home and spending time with his family. He has a passion for serving the Lord through preaching and teaching, leading the Youth Group alongside Veronica, and praising God through music with Veronica, Ezra, and Aubrie.
