HOW TO KNOW GOD?
What does it mean to know God? What does a relationship with Him even look like? It is not enough to be a good person, to join a church, or to observe religious rituals. The Bible tells us that each of us must come to God through faith in Jesus Christ—a personal commitment to a personal God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!
God Loves You
The Bible makes it clear that God’s love for us is infinite and eternal. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world…” In Romans 5:8 we are told that God proved His love by sending Jesus to die for us while we were still sinners. Jesus came to give us a life that is both eternal and abundant (John 10:10).
We Are Sinners
Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Humanity has turned away from God, violated His laws, and sought our own self-centered ways. These actions result in condemnation and punishment by a holy and just God.
Jesus Paid Our Debt
Before Jesus died on the cross, He said, “It is finished.” That meant He had paid the full price for our sins by dying in our place, the righteous for the unrighteous.
Believe in Jesus Christ
Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” If we admit our sins and confess Jesus as our Lord then the Bible says we will be saved.
WHAT NOW?
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, you are born again. You might not feel any different, but the gospel is about facts not feelings, and if you have put your faith in Christ than you have been forgiven and He has come in to your life.
